Arsenal are now one of the Europa league final favorite as they crushed Valencia at the Emirates Stadium.
Unai Emery has proved to be UEFA Europa League specialist as he defeated Napoli home and away in the quarter final of the 2018/2019 competition and was drawn with Spain side Valencia.
Arsenal went into the game in a defensive line-up including five (5) defenders and also the magical trio (Özil, Aubameyang and Lacazette) earning a start up together in a “must win” match.
The visitors were the one to first found the back of the net in the 10th minute of the encounter before Alexandre Lacazette gave Arsenal the equalizer by slotting in a finished pass by his pal Aubameyang. He also double the lead with a free header which was determined by the goal line technology as a result of a perfect cross from Granit Xhaka.
In the second half of the game, many chances were created and wasted by the home side but thanks to Aubameyang’s stoppage time goal to make it 3 – 1 and give the Gunners a 2 goals advantage ahead of the second leg clash which will be played on 9th of May in Valencia (Spain)
Unai Emery will be looking forward to reach the final and lift the trophy for another time with another club in Baku.
